Our website is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data relating to children.

2. What Personal Data We Collect and How We Collect Your Personal Data

We may collect, use and share anonymized and aggregated data such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose. Anonymized data will not directly or indirectly reveal your identity and is not considered personal data.

We collect your personal data during the course of your relationship with us, including when you visit our website, when you provide this directly such as when you contact us using our contact page through software applications made available by us, through our social media platforms, through extranet sites, when you provide it through any of our registration processes for newsletters, events, webinars and seminars, when you provide it to us in conjunction with our services, when you provide it over the telephone and when you provide it through any paper-based forms and applications, and from third parties. 3. Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing

We use your personal data to fulfil the performance of a contract we are about to enter into or have entered into with you (“Performance of a Contract”) and to enable us to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations (“Legal Obligation”). To ensure we provide marketing materials and content on our website that is of interest, we use technology in our emails and on our website that logs whether you click on the links in our emails, and the time and date you access our website as well as the time spent on our website, when you follow a link to our website. You can choose to not click these links. When you interact with our marketing emails, we will log your choices. 

Please keep in mind that if you directly disclose personal data including special categories of or more sensitive personal data through The European-American Chamber of Commerce, Carolinas public message boards, this information may be collected and used by others. The European-American Chamber of Commerce, Carolinas does not read any of your private online communications and does not use this information.

We may share your personal data with persons or entities outside the EACC if we reorganize or transfer all or part of our business. 5. International Data Transfers

As a U.S.-based organization, your data may be transferred to a country outside your home country (including outside the UK and the European Economic Area (“EEA”)) where the data privacy laws may not be equivalent to or provide the same level of protection for personal data, as the laws in your home country. Your personal data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. Whenever we transfer your personal data outside your home country, we implement appropriate measures to ensure it remains protected, as required by applicable data protection laws. Under some circumstances, we may anonymize your personal data so that it can no longer be associated with you. We reserve the right to use such anonymous and de-identified data for any legitimate business purpose without further notice to you or your consent.
